Our Story

Kofi Kreations was founded by Tameka L. Jones in 2020. What began as a simple gift to her daughter has grown into a full range of handcrafted hair accessories.

OUR GIRLS

Every bow we design is made with Black girls in mind — their beauty, their joy, their uniqueness. For too long, they’ve been left out of the picture. At Kofi Kreations, we make sure they’re front and center.

OUR WHY

Representation matters. When little girls see themselves reflected in the things they love, it builds confidence from the inside out. We want every girl who visits our site to smile and say, “She looks like me.”

A Note From Our Founder

At Kofi Kreations, we serve moms raising confident girls and the daughters who deserve bows that stay put and celebrate who they are.

Our handmade bows outlast playdates, picture days, and every sweet moment in between while reminding your daughter she is beautifully and wonderfully made.

This began at my dining room table after yet another bow slipped from my daughter’s thick hair. Her quiet “It’s okay, Mama” told me it wasn’t. She didn’t need to settle, and neither do we.

I’m a mom and a special needs teacher’s aide with 20 years of experience nurturing children. Every bow is crafted with prayer, purpose, and plenty of heart.

“Kofi” means “born on Friday,” symbolizing new beginnings and the beautiful things that happen when we walk in God’s purpose.
