A Note From Our Founder

Growing up, I rarely saw little girls who looked like me wearing ribbon hair bows. I wanted to fit in, but beautiful bows were not something my family could afford. Like many little Black girls, I wore braids with beads, but deep down I wished I had the opportunity to wear the beautiful ribbon bows I admired on other girls.

That childhood dream stayed with me.

Years later, after becoming a mom, I found myself struggling to keep bows in my own daughter's thick hair. After one slipped out yet again, she quietly smiled and said, "It's okay, Mama." But I knew it wasn't. She deserved better, and so did every little girl.

Kofi Kreations was born from two dreams. The little girl who simply wanted to belong, and the mother determined to create beautiful, handmade hair bows that stay in place and help every girl feel confident.

Today, every bow is handcrafted with quality materials, prayer, and purpose. Whether she wears curls, braids, twists, puffs, ponytails, or straight hair, every girl deserves accessories that celebrate who she is and remind her that she is beautifully and wonderfully made.

I'm also a mom and a special education teacher's aide with more than 20 years of experience encouraging children to believe in themselves. That same heart goes into every bow we create.

"Kofi" means "born on Friday," a reminder that beautiful beginnings often come from the dreams God places in our hearts.

Thank you for allowing Kofi Kreations to be a small part of your family's story. My prayer is that every bow brings a little more confidence, a little more joy, and reminds every girl that she was created with purpose.
